Yanis has over 15 years of experience in insolvency and restructuring matters with a proven track record of delivering results. Having an extensive background in insolvency and restructuring, he developed a deep understanding of the complexities involved in insolvency and restructuring, and possess the skills necessary to navigate these complex matters. His insolvency and restructuring experience include managing creditor voluntary liquidations, official liquidations, voluntary administrations, deed of company arrangements, receiverships, and trade-on appointments, as well as conducting independent business reviews for matters ranging from small to medium-scale companies across a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, retail, construction, hospitality, healthcare, and financial services.

Career Highlights
  • Overviewed trading operations of a distressed bowling club and participated in the sale of the club which resulted in a satisfactory outcome to all the stakeholders.
  • Lead a team in the Voluntary Administration of a nationwide transport company operating from Victoria with an annual turnover of $127m which had creditors in excess $25m.
  • Conducted business restructuring to continue the pharmacy business, including rebranding and improving relationships with various stakeholders, which resulted in a successful sale of the business, with the pharmacy continuing to trade with a new owner.
  • In order to resolve disputes among the directors/shareholders, successfully conducted a sale campaign of the radiology centres which resulted in satisfactory return to the owners.
  • As part of the appointment conducted forensic accounting of the company’s financial records, including identifying falsified invoices, recovering computer data, tracing funds and commencing recoveries against the director.
  • Traded on an interstate automotive equipment importer and distributor business in a Voluntary Administration, which resulted in a successfully completed Deed of Company Arrangement.
  • Investigated and successfully pursued various recovery actions, including “Phoenix activities”, insolvent trading and voidable transactions, which resulted in dividend payments to the creditors of those companies.
